Peteypie - Broke, 14.2H, Grade Grey Arabian Gelding, Vet aged 9/10 years old. Was told he was possibly registered, would have to go through the AHA with a DNA test to find out.

Peteypie is a solid, well mannered, and easy going gelding. He definitely has youth/kid potential, all around, good family friendly horse. We haven't had youth or kids on him, but he is solid enough I'd personally trust him with them without a doubt. I'd consider him to be beginner friendly within supervision of an experienced rider.... (read more) He's been ridden by an advanced beginner rider all over W/T/C without issue. Peteypie had prior training/riding to some extent prior to me purchasing him with intentions of putting more training into him and selling. He's had a full 90 days of training in my program and just under 5 months under saddle total. Has had additional miles, road riding, and is started on trails. He rode down at Zumbro Bottoms without issue, crossed the bridge, and handled the terrain very well. Peteypie would be most suitable for trail, lesson program, camp horse, all around, fun shows, 4H, etc. Yes, he is older women/men friendly as well. He's handled all of his training incredibly well and the worst he has offered is a spook in place and sometimes if there is something new to him, he'll just go around it really wide but in a calm manner. No buck, bolt, kick, bite, rear, etc. Has offered NO bad or concerning behaviors even when pushed. Allows to be climbed all over, can go underneath his legs, in between, etc. very tolerant and happy go lucky personality. Takes care of his rider and thinks before he acts. This horse has a heart of gold.

Peteypie was apparently abandoned where he was boarded at, so he does currently have a lack of history & background. He was underweight and under muscled and is continuously gaining weight & muscle. He is naturally more of a slim build, but does have potential to fill out still.

- Point and go style of horse
- Peteypie is good for picking up all 4 hooves & standing for the farrier
- Peteypie ties, never offered to halter pull and has had consistent tying time since arriving
- Loads well & has been hauled
- Respectful on the ground and has good ground manners (except when itchy, he will rub/push on someone until told to stop)
- Stands for tacking, untacking, mounting, and dismounting
- Bridles well
- Is forward but not fast, not lazy and not hot, I'd consider him to be "just right" speed wise
- Gentle, responsive, and soft
- Traffic safe
- Rides out solo
- Desensitized and has had groundwork done
- Lunges both ways, switches when asked, and comes in when called
- Backs under saddle
- Knows one-rein stops
- Has great neck flexion
- Knows fake falls
- Goes up and over obstacles and objects (Bridges, pedestals, mattresses)
- Has had music playing behind in the saddle bags without issue (this is consistent when he's being ridden)
- Has been ridden both western & english (Primarily western)
- Loves attention, hands on, and doing activities
- Follows people around at liberty when being worked with
- Has been ponied by atvs & another horse (he ponies really well)
- Is used to goats, dogs, cats, farm machinery, snowmobiles, vehicles, atv's, lawn mowers, chainsaws, fire, smoke.
- Positive Reinforcement, Natural Horsemanship, and Liberty work trained
- Ridden at Zumbro Bottoms on steep hills both up and down, sandy terrain, crossed the bridge, rocky terrain, narrow trails, brush, going over logs and branches, navigating difficult terrain and paths.
- Has been ridden down the road near barking dogs running up to us, random animals popping out, vehicles flying by, lawn mowers, mailboxes.
- Barefoot with no reason to shoe, has all healthy hooves, has shown no signs of lameness through training or during adding miles.

Cons:
- Is getting better for fly spray but will dance if not being rewarded for standing still. (Positive Reinforcement)
- Hates baths with no improvement despite working on it.

Herd dynamics and current living conditions:
- Gets along with everyone but is naturally seen to be crabby and has ears pinned if there are new horses or he's put into a new pasture. Not aggressive at all and tends to flee the scene if he feels intimidated. He doesn't get picked on here but also isn't anywhere near being a boss in the pasture. Been in with both mares, geldings, & foals.
- Has been stalled, has been pastured without issue.
- Currently pastured, sometimes put in the paddock on a round bale, depends on our current set up and our current pasture rotation schedule.
- He'd be good in any setting I believe, being boarded would be just fine for him too.

Peteypie will continue to be ridden 2-3x a week and used as an extra trail horse until sold.
