Sammi's quality starts with his pedigree. He is sired by Half Ours a graded stakes winning son of Unbridled's Song known for producing athletic competitive horses with plenty of heart. Out of Sammy Van Ammy, Sammi has the pedigree to match his talent, trainability, and versatility.

Sammi has already completed his restart and has developed a solid foundation under saddle. He is currently being finished on the barrel patter, and every ride continues to show just how much potential he has.

He's only been introduced to the barrel pattern a handful of times, but his progress has been remarkable. He naturally wants to work, is eager to please, and continues to improve with every ride. With consistency, this is the kind of horse that can make someone's barrel racing dreams come true.

Earlier in his retraining, Sammi was introduced to jumping and confidently schooled 18 inch fences, showing his athleticisim and willingness to try new things. While our current focus has shifted to barrel training, his experience speaks to his versatility and his willingness to go in whatever direction his next owner chooses.

Outside the arena, is just as dependable. He trail rides quietly, confidently crosses water, walks through thick brush without hesitation, neck reins, and willingly goes wherever he's asked. He's the kind of horse that's just as enjoyable on a relaxing trail ride as he is in the arena.

One of Sammi's greatest qualities is his personality. He's goofy, affectionate, and absolutely loves people. He's often the first one waiting at the gate for attention and quickly becomes everyone's favorite around the barn.

He loads easily, hauls well, stands quietly for the ferrier, and is an easy horse to have around. He occasionally gets a little impatient while his front shoes are being finished but nothing out of the ordinary. He currently wears two front shoes and stays on a regular six week ferrier schedule.

Although Sammi is kind enough that children have comfortably walked and trotted him, he is still progressing in his performance training. Because of that, we recommend an intermediate or experienced rider to continue bringing out his full potential.

To top it off Sammi is eligible for dual registration as a Paint thanks to his flashy white stockings, making him just as eye-catching standing in the pasture as he is under saddle.
