Samson spent his first few months under saddle in a cow horse program before coming home to become my mother’s trail horse. He has been trail ridden all over and confidently crosses water, brush, ditches, and bridges without hesitation. No matter where you haul him, he stays calm, relaxed, and takes everything in stride.
One of Samson’s best qualities is his consistency. He rides the same every day, whether he’s been ridden once a week or has had several months off. Saddle him up and go.
In the arena, Samson continues to become more polished every ride. He picks up both leads, has a correct spin, collects nicely in the bridle, backs softly with his head down, and side passes over to open and close gates.
Samson is easy to have around in every way. He’s happy stalled or turned out, gets along well in a herd, and is lower in the pecking order. If you’re looking for a dependable, honest horse with a quiet disposition and a solid foundation, Samson is one you’ll enjoy owning for years to come.
