April is an AMHR registered miniature mare named April's Stormy Dancer. She is 22 years old and 34" tall. She is currently being sold as pasture exposed to my AMHA/AMHR Stallion "Doc Holiday Created By An Angel" for a possible 2027 foal. She is being offered as exposed only, no guarantee on pregnancy. Previous owner showed April a few times in local shows, but she wasn't happy in the arena and did not have a long show career.... (read more) She has mainly been used as a broodmare. Previous owner stated she had been ridden a few times but not consistently. I do not have small children, so she has not been ridden since I have owned her. She can be stand off-ish, but is not difficult to catch, she just doesn't want lots of pats and attention. She had her teeth floated in March, as well as her vaccines. She is easy to handle. Loads well. Stands for vet and farrier. She does not require any special maintenance. She is color tested a black splash 1 tobiano. Ee aa n/Sw1 nTo. LWO Negative.

She's pasture exposed to my A/R stallion who is a double homozygous grulla tobiano color tested EE aa DD nCr nTo. He is LWO N/N, Skeletal Atavism N/N, and Dwarfism panel N/N (D1, D2, D3, D4), and stands 34" tall. If she is pregnant, the foal will be guaranteed grulla, and possibly have pinto markings, and will be LWO negative. Foal will be eligible for AMHR registration, and all paperwork will be provided to register foal. Again, I am only offering her as pasture exposed, not guaranteed in foal. Her last breeding date was 07/11/2026.

The only reason I am selling April is that she is unfortunately one of the types of mares that does not like to "share" the stallion in a pasture breeding setting. She will herd the stallion away from other mares, and even not allow the stallion to breed other mares. I like to do pasture breeding with my own mares, so this is very annoying for me, and it's the reason I'm offering her for sale. If you hand breed, this obviously will not be an issue for you. What I do normally is breed her and then keep her in a separate pasture during breeding season. It works, but like I said - it's annoying to me lol.
