Offering for sale our lovely Diego. He is a 5 year old Quarter Horse/Percheron that is looking for someone with the skills to finish him their way. He has a great brain, loves learning, excels in groundwork and could probably learn any trick in the book. He is an absolute puppy dog on the ground, will follow you around and rest his head on your shoulder and take a nap. Under saddle he has very nice natural movement and moves off of leg well. He has done dressage clinics, low jumps, cow sorting, mountain trail riding, loves playing in ponds/lakes, and rides tackless.... (read more) He is the definition of all-around! He does not have much competitive drive, although we think he could be a great candidate for the trail class.

He has a lazy side and you can jump on him bareback in a halter after weeks of no riding and he will be perfect. However, he is a LOT of horse when he is working. He is a big mover and needs a skilled rider who can keep him moving correctly and ride confidently. He is not a kid's horse nor a lesson horse -- but he has the potential to be just that under the right trainer or rider in a training program. He is built thick and strong and has great feet. He has no vices. He trailers great, stands wherever you tie him, is lovely to groom, tack, and bathe. He is trustworthy on the ground and anyone could lead him.

He needs someone who will commit to developing him into the amazing horse he can be but who also wants to form a bond with him and become his person. His dream life would be as someone’s pet where he gets to be pampered but also used for the talent that he does have! We're very sad to see him go but looking forward to matching him up with his person!
