Simply Irresistible “Rezzi”
2012 | 16hh | Bay OTTB Mare
Looking for her new partner
Some horses earn their names—and Simply Irresistible (“Rezzi”) certainly does.
Rezzi is a 16hh gorgeous bay Thoroughbred mare who has been schooling 2’6”–2’9” courses with plenty of scope for the 3’ divisions. Athletic, brave, and exceptionally willing, she has all the ingredients to excel in the hunter, equitation, or jumper ring.... (read more)
She offers three quality gaits, a comfortable rhythm, an automatic feel to the jumps, and a soft, balanced way of going. Rezzi is light in the bridle, easily collects into a beautiful round frame, and offers a lead change. Her downward transitions are especially polished, responding beautifully to seat and leg aids. While her upward transitions continue to improve with consistency, she is incredibly trainable, eager to learn, and always aims to please.
Where Rezzi truly shines is her confidence. She is bold and honest over fences, confidently marching to new jumps without hesitation. She gives her rider the feeling that she wants to get to the other side every single time.
Before beginning her sport horse career, Rezzi enjoyed an impressive racing career, earning over $136,000 before retiring sound. She also produced one foal, who is now of racing age. Horses with long, successful racing careers and sound retirements often make some of the very best second-career partners, bringing unmatched heart, athleticism, and an incredible work ethic—and Rezzi is no exception.
Rezzi is cherished, however, it has became clear that an Off-the-Track Thoroughbred wasn’t the right fit for our lesson programs goals. She continues to remind us how talented she is and how she thrives with routine, confidence, and consistency and is best suited for an intermediate junior or amateur rider working with a trainer.
Rezzi is:
• has front shoes
• Up to date on all care
• Excellent with other horses in turnout
• Honest, uncomplicated, and a pleasure to have in the barn
She is available to the right forever home and partner.
Finding a mare with Rezzi’s combination of talent, rideability, proven soundness, and athletic ability at this price point is becoming increasingly rare. We do not expect her to be available for long.
If you think Rezzi might be your next partner, have the conversation with your trainer, spouse, or decision-maker before reaching out. Exceptional horses don’t stay on the market long, and we’d hate for you to miss this opportunity.
