Free to the Right Home – Simon, 26 Year-Old Paint Gelding
Simon is a sweet 26 year-old Paint gelding looking for a knowledgeable, loving home. He has a kind personality and enjoys attention, though he can be a bit pushy on the ground and would benefit from consistent handling.
We received Simon as a gift and are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have owned him. However, as first-time horse owners, we've realized that he isn't the right fit for our family's experience level or riding goals.... (read more)
Simon has been thoroughly evaluated by a veterinarian, including a recent full physical workup and dental float, and no underlying medical issues have been identified to explain his behavior. He is currently healthy and up to date on his care.
Under saddle, Simon doesn’t act well with the saddle on and because of that we have chosen not to pursue riding him further. He has been ridden bareback a few times, but we feel he would be best suited for an experienced horse person who has the knowledge and confidence to evaluate and work through his training needs or who is looking for a companion horse rather than a riding horse.
Our priority is not finding a buyer but finding Simon the right home where he will be safe, well cared for, and appreciated. He is being offered free to an experienced, responsible home only.
