Pearl is a kind, dependable 21-year-old grey Arabian mare with previous English Pleasure show experience who is currently schooling Training Level dressage. She is an active member of the Holistic Horsemanship Institute of America lesson program, working regularly with beginner and beginner/intermediate riders, including both children and adults.
Pearl's greatest strength is her quiet, forgiving nature. Through countless lessons, she has consistently demonstrated a thoughtful response to inexperienced riders.... (read more) When a rider loses balance, removes their leg, or needs a moment to recover, Pearl quietly slows down and gives them the opportunity to regain confidence before continuing. This calm, patient temperament has made her a trusted partner for riders learning new skills.
She is suitable for children, beginner adults, and riders looking to build confidence while continuing their education. Pearl has safely carried riders with a wide range of experience and remains a willing, honest horse in regular work.
Pearl is sound and requires no medication or specialized hoof care beyond routine trimming. Her hoof balance continues to improve through consistent trimming.
As part of her sale, I will personally provide routine hoof trims for one year (within a reasonable travel distance) to provide continuity of care.
She is currently in regular work and is ready to continue teaching her next rider while progressing in her own dressage education.
She is current on Coggins, Rabies, and West Nile vaccination.
Multiple unedited lesson videos are available demonstrating Pearl with child riders, beginner adult riders, Training Level dressage schooling, and her calm, thoughtful responses when beginning riders lose balance or accidentally give conflicting aids.
Pearl would be an excellent partner for a family, adult amateur, lesson program, or anyone looking for a safe, experienced horse that enjoys taking care of her rider.
A knowledgeable, loving home is our highest priority.

Holistic Horsemanship Institute of America
Internationally known and with over 30 years of experience working with a wide range of horses, Lisa Wynne has developed and uses her own training methods, including the IDT™ Method & the Measured Response™. She works with the psychological and physiological challenges a horse may have all while developing the desired skill set in each horse.
Lisa has developed a reputation for being able to train "difficult" or "problem" horses, which comes from her experience training rescue/rehab cases.... (read more) She is often all that stands between a horse being sold at auction or being put down.
Lisa is an all-inclusive trainer. While there are key differences between breeds, the bottom line is that the "modern horse" as we know horses to be, is a 10,000 year old species. Human impact through creation of different breeds has not significantly altered the basal instincts or thought processes of the modern horse.
Unlike so many other trainers, Lisa is not a text book or recipe-based trainer. If a step-by-step recipe is followed, horses and riders often end up frustrated and unhappy with the results. Horses are unique individuals and each has their own concerns that require customization in handling. Lisa's goal is always to provide horses and their riders with the tools they need to take their partnership to the next level.
Lisa's rescue horses typically become lesson horses in her lesson program.
