"Janata CRL" is a registered 12 year old grey Lusitano mare looking for her forever home. She stands approximately 15.2 hands tall. Janata has a background in dressage, but has had time off lately and will need a refresher/tune up under saddle. She would do best with an experienced, confident owner. She is a very easy keeper, but a typical mare. She likes to be the boss of other horses and will chase them off their feed. She is a mild cribber on wood when she is bored.... (read more) She is easy to catch and lead and loves treats. She can be wiggly when tied. She is good for the farrier and has been trimmed every 6 weeks. She is good being sprayed with fly spray. She is a beautiful mover and could make an incredible liberty partner.
Under saddle, she is a very sensitive ride. She needs a quiet rider with a solid seat and gentle hands. She would not suit a beginner at all. She is barefoot and sound, but does have thin soles on the front. She could possibly need some joint maintenance if she was put back into full time under saddle work, but is currently comfortable with no maintenance.
Janata is available for adoption through Star Child Animal Rescue and Sanctuary in Clyde NC. She will go with a no sale/auction contract. She is up to date on coggins, teeth floating, and vaccines.
