Here is an appaloosa mare named "Bee"
She is 14.1 hands tall and 17 years old.
Just a good, quiet mare...she came from a trail stable where she hauled people on trail rides.
Speed...no! Quiet and easy going...yes.
She will lead or follow and just goes where she is pointed. No nonsense.
She does ride best in a hack, we tried her in a bit, but comparing the 2, she was better in the hack.... (read more) The trail barn mainly uses hacks on all the horses because of people pulling on their mouths all the time. It's not a teeth issue, she just had her teeth done on June 25. She also has a new set of front shoes.
She is happy to just walk along, she has a smooth jog and you may get a lope if you push her hard enough. Gets along with all our others, kinda lower on the pole and sticks to herself.
She still needs a few pounds, but she is on the right track, teeth done, dewormed, etc.
Bee is a nice, honest mare.
She could even possibly be used in a therapy program.

We buy and sell horses and ponies. There are several of us who work with all the animals and evaluate them, figure out their personalities and quirks, and let's be honest, they all have them. We are very honest about what we are selling and tell all the behaviors we have noticed while they are with us. Key words being "while they are with us." If you take them home, feed 10 gallons of grain, don't ride them and let them get away with every bad behavior possible, we can't help that when their behavior changes.
