Dave is a 1 year old Appendix Buckskin colt, yes it may not seem he looks 1 but i assure you he is, he was born March 30th, 2025, im assuming he was born premature so it affected his growth. He has been started on basic groundwork, he needs work on lunging as he seems confused. He can back up with just a few clicks and gentle pressure on the chest, he reacts to neck pressure and is getting the hang of moving his body when pressure is added. He was a accident baby by my brothers stallion, (Appendix(APH x AQH) and my mare (AQH).... (read more) His father is roughly maybe 15.2 hands and his mother 15h so he will probably grow around that height. He would be a good prospect for anyone looking for a young one to start out.

Reason im selling is no fault of his own but i need to downsize and my property is just isnt something a yearling should grow around. He is the sweetest boy who loves cuddles and love but of course like any other baby, he does get upset if you push him away from something he is interested in. This can easily be fixed if you know how to correct behavior, ive corrected him countless of times, so far he gets the hint but being a baby, he does it again. He has not gotten his shots yet, but he has not left the property since he was born. I have been having trouble getting him filled out so if you know how to handle hard keepers, take him. I assume he gets it from his father as his father is also a hard keeper. I need him gone as my mare, his dam, is pregnant again, i do plan on selling the foal, but he keeps nursing on her and she isnt correcting him.
