He neck reins, direct reins, moves off leg pressure, has a smooth jog, an easy-going lope, and a big stop. Clifford is responsive when asked but always remains kind, quiet, and level-headed.
Clifford has been ridden extensively outside and has seen all aspects of ranch life. He is comfortable around dogs, livestock, wildlife, heavy machinery, traffic, and commotion. Whether he’s checking cattle, riding through rough country, opening gates, or spending the day on the trail, Clifford handles every job with confidence and ease.
In the arena, Clifford shines just as brightly. He is handy enough for an experienced rider to enjoy while remaining forgiving and dependable for less experienced riders. He has been used for playdays, fun shows, and all-around family riding. He is content to walk quietly down the trail one day and step up to a job the next.
