Dallas is a 4 year old mustang mare from the Shawave HMA. She is not yet titled, but I should have it back soon. Otherwise, she can be purchased with an approved application to the BLM. She was born in captivity and was in holding until she was two years old. After that, she was trained by a youth competitor in America's Next Top Youth Trainer at the KY Horse Park. She placed 5th Overall, then went on to place 1st at the Michigan Mustang Series in the Ridden Youth Division.... (read more)

She has competed in handling and conditioning, Trail, Obstacles, and freestyle both in hand and under saddle. She has been ridden both english and western in a halter and bosal. I've also hopped on her bareback a few times and she didn't care one bit. She knows a number of tricks including side passing, picking a rider up from a fence or mounting block, and stepping up onto pedestals or other objects. She is very light in the face to a halter/bosal, flexes, backs, side passes, WTC, spins. She has a lot of bells and whistles and loves trail and obstacle work in particular. I have taken her out into the fox hunting field and gone hill-topping with her. She did very well and kept her head the entire time, even with hounds and horses having meltdowns around her. Can sit for months and still be the same horse each time.

Dallas is extremely friendly once she is familiar with someone. She is always the first to meet me at the gate, will often come running when called for, and is very in your pocket. She is extremely food motivated and intelligent, so she could go in any direction you choose should you want to take her towards a specific discipline. She is not mare-ish at all and does extremely well with other horses.

She has been off for a long time as I have a busy work schedule and she has had some allergy issues since I brought her home. She tends to get hives and scratches the hair off of her face and legs during the summer. The hives are easily managed with a fly sheet, ten zyrtec tablets a day, and fly spray. She is just very itchy. I think she would do better in a northern climate or out west where it is more arid and dry.

Perfect for the vet, good for the farrier, stands tied, loads in any trailer. No kick, bite, or rear. I trust my non horsey friends to lead and work around her.

She would do best in a home that can give her more consistent work where she is someone's main focus. With my other horses, she just doesn't get that dedicated time. I am moving across the country and can't take all of my horses with me, so I am having to cut down on numbers.
