Meet Ruby, is a 12hh 12 year old mare who is broke to ride and drive. Ruby has been mostly ridden just for trail riding and rides. She is great on the trail or in a group. She has mostly been ridden alone and does great with that. Ruby has been ridden bareback or saddled for longer rides. She can also be ridden bitless. As far as driving, Ruby has been driven around our property and neighboring fields as well as on the road. She is traffic safe and will stand at stop signs.... (read more) Ruby has also recently been ultrasounded to see if she is cycling which she is, so she could possibly raise a foal and be a brood mare. She also just had a physical done as well and has a negative coggins test taken last fall. As far as health issues we have never had any problems with Ruby she has always been fat and healthy with no soundness issues. She does have shoes on right now for driving on the road. Ruby does great for the farrier and picks up her feet all around. She’s never had any bite, kick or buck in her. She gets along great with our gelding that is here but she also has been alone in the barn before and doesn’t seem to mind at all. Reason for rehoming Ruby is we simply don’t have use for her here anymore and no children to ride her so we were hoping to get her a good home where she’ll be used again.
