14.2h sturdy registered Crabbet Arabian gelding. This horse has energy to spare!
He would be good for someone wanting a buddy for casual riding, or to bring along into low level dressage, do low hunters or eventing. He likes to jump, but he prefers to stay under 2' these days.
He has an occasional spook, mostly stops in place and lowers his head to examine the offending object. But he gets better the more regular riding he has.... (read more) Currently only getting worked about once a week, so he's more irregular (in rhythm, carriage, engagement, etc.) His background is in dressage, so the knowledge is in there, he just needs regularity. I have used him for lessons. No buck or rear, but out of routine he can leap into canter and be playful after jumps. No bolt, but he will keep going if you're not using your seat and leg to keep him together. Goes on trail alone or in group, but insists on being first if going faster than walk in group. He'd thrive in an environment where he's getting worked 3-5 times a week, and working with someone who is calm and patient, and who will give him all the love he deserves!! I'd be interested in buy-back agreement. I love his horse, and his happiness is of great importance to me. I'd include his saddle, saddle pad, girth, light blanket and bit. I've had him for about 8 years, always fine barefoot, no grain needed if on grass, he got 1/2qt alfalfa over the winter months (as well as hay) . Will go English or western (learning to hold a jog). Gets along with literally everypony! Goes out in mixed herd; great babysitter for newcomers. I will be picky about making sure this is the right match on both sides.

Off site care lease - must be close enough/convenient for me to check on him in person, I'm in white oak area 22405, but flexibile if he'd be on my typical errand route. (*Almost* certainly must be in Fredericksburg!)
