Ophelia is a very very special girl, please feel free to call so I can give you all the details, but she was from the famous Friesians of Majesty Farm where 70 horses were confiscated in the last three years. Oophelia has spent six months doing weekly ground work and light saddle work in a ring, and has made great progress doing walk trot with a rider, but had many holes in her basic basic training which needs to be carefully filled and attended to. She needs a partner who will work with her from the ground up, to make an incredible bond, and then she will jump the moon for you so to speak.
So ideally, looking for a person who has experience with the Friesian breed or quirky breeds...someone who wants to do a lot of groundwork and bonding and less overall riding right away, because they are extremely sensitive, incredibly Smart, stoic, and a bit different than a lot of other breeds. Ophelia is not flighty or naturally afraid of anything, but she is extremely sensitive and very, very alert to all different changes in her environment. Her exposures to things such as crossing water, tarps, changes to her environment, etc. have been very very limited.(she was a broodmare till age 7), although she is not upset by trucks, cars, equipment, flags, etc.

Ophelia has amazing promise, she could become an awesome dressage partner, for example, but she needs to be with the right person who understands this temperament and very sensitive, sweet, kind, gentle spirit. I think she would make an amazing trail horse because she is bold and curious, but she is definitely not there yet. She wants to have variety in her learning process, games, and fun-- she is extremely curious and willing.

So I have permission from my POA only to have 2 horses here at home....because my time is so limited due to being a full-time caretaker for my mother with Alzheimer's I am hindering Ophelia from moving forward. I do not have a ring, and she got a great start with the ring and she seems to be familiar with that.
Depending on how well things go potentially, I am open to the idea of sharing Ophelia with somebody for many many years, having her come back to my home in Boone, North Carolina to do some summer riding where it is cool and comfortable, as she gets much more experienced, but she could spend the rest of her time with her person without having to purchase her . Obviously, this is not a situation that I would do with just anybody, so I would love to talk with you if you have a lot of experience, especially if you have experience with Friesians, dressage, or would like to just find out more about this amazing girl!
Ophelia currently has no bad habits, she stalls fine, but she prefers to have movement if possible and we give her ample turnout. She is low on the totem, pole, extremely gentle character, not Alpha in way, wants to learn and bond. She has very limited trail experience, she has walked a trail, quite a few times and ridden at once, but she did have an anxiety attack on that trail at the very beginning and i was unseated so we have not done a whole lot more since then due to my lack of time. This is not uncommon for Friesians. I have been told, they can have sudden anxiety attacks (which pass quickly but can be difficult to control on a can be difficult to control on a trail) and just need lots and lots of experiences and repetition.
