☀️SUNSHINE☀️ “Sunny” is a Palomino draft cross gelding, 15 years old, 16.1hh.

He’s ideal for an individual or a family looking for that steadfast heart horse to spend their days out on the trails, exploring, or even just hanging out (and he loves treats). A solid beefcake, steady and sweet as can be. This laid-back guy spent the majority of his life before I bought him working hard doing anything and everything on a ranch up north, and has since been loved and ridden by me here in Louisiana.... (read more) He rides English and western, picks up his leads, and can lope circles and side pass. We’ve even taken him over some small cross rails for fun and he never hesitated or batted an eye. He’s great on the trails and is as calm and steady as they come. He doesn’t get riled up, or buck, rear or bolt. He’s a fast learner and is willing and forgiving.

Impeccable ground manners, Sunny stands patiently at cross-ties and for bathing, clipping, grooming and tacking. He also ground ties. My young kids run around him and handle him frequently, and he’s always patient, tolerant, and affectionate with them. He’s great for vet and farrier, and hauls like a dream. Traffic safe, and has no issue with dogs, wildlife, or farm equipment/vehicles. In a herd he’d be mid to lower-mid in the pecking order.

I am now looking to get something that can take me a little farther in my riding which is the only reason I’m selling him. He’s very special to me and where he ends up is important. I’d love to see him go somewhere he would be cherished and loved. He’s sound and a great keeper, with very little maintenance required. I currently have him shod but he could go barefoot, and is great in a stall or out in the pasture 24/7. No special diet required, and no vices.
