Maverick has been a very special part of our family, and we know he is going to make someone an incredible partner and confidence builder.
In the arena, Maverick is quiet, broke, and extremely user friendly. He will walk, trot, and lope with ease and has a naturally smooth trot with a nice headset. He rides around soft in the bridle, has a true neck rein, will pivot around correctly, and has a great stop. He listens to his rider, stays willing, and never gets frazzled or in a hurry. Whether you are a beginner wanting something safe and forgiving or an experienced rider looking for a dependable gelding to enjoy, Maverick fits the bill perfectly.
What makes Maverick so special is his babysitter personality. Kids have ridden him all over the farm and on the trails, and he always adjusts to the level of his rider. He will happily go whatever speed is asked of him and aims to please every single ride. He has the kind of patient, trustworthy nature that gives riders confidence.
Maverick has also been used extensively outside of the arena as our guest trail horse. He is extremely sure footed, easy going, and dependable on the trails. He will confidently ride out front, quietly follow behind, or settle comfortably in the middle of a group. He crosses logs, walks through water, handles tall brush with ease, and is good around dogs and commotion. Nothing seems to bother him.
He is the type of horse everyone enjoys being around. Maverick absolutely loves attention and being pampered. He stands quietly to be groomed, saddled, bathed, and for the farrier. He is easy to catch, gets along great with other horses, and is happy whether kept stalled or turned out on pasture.
To top it off, Maverick is broke enough to carry an American flag, drag a sled, and let you rope off of him. He is versatile, dependable, and has the kind of willing attitude that makes him enjoyable every day.
Maverick has completed a full health and wellness evaluation and sells with a negative Coggins and current rabies vaccination. He is sound, safe, gentle, and ready to become someone’s next best friend.
