Royal is looking for a job- and a partner! She is a beautiful 17 year old, 16 hand Oldenburg mare who thinks she is 6. Royal is a solid second level horse, and lower level schoolmaster, but she has been out of work for a long time, so would benefit from some workouts before she hits the show ring.

Pros:
She is a beautiful mover and responsive to her rider.

She is an easy keeper and currently barefoot.

She is so sweet on the ground. She loves bananas, can honk a bike horn with her mouth, and opens her mouth for the bit.

She loves to work.

She is down for almost anything. Show this weekend? Sure. Trail ride next weekend? No problem? Endurance ride? She is game! Work cows for fun? Yep! Wanna take her to a jumper show (even though she has no experience)... yep, we have done that, too. (She is not a great jumper- but she sure tried hard!)

Cons:

She gets cranky if stalled full time. The girl likes to be out and stretch her legs! Need to stall her for a show or for a week? That's no problem! Want to keep her in a stall half the dat? Ok! But living in stall, 20 hours a day with little to no turnout? She says no thanks.

She will crow hop in the canter in the canter when someone new first canters her.

She is also a forward (but responsive) ride- thus she is not appropriate for a beginner.

So...
Her ideal job would be to be someone lucky person's best friend.... someone who wants to learn dressage, play with different style and events, and someone who isn't going to expect her to show every weekend.

This is a special opprotunity for some. She is well bred, well put together, and an absolute joy. She is easily a 5 figure horse, but I am willing to discuss 4 figure homes so move her quickly so I can fund a horse purchase for my daughter. Excellent homes only- I really care about this mare.

I am attaching a video from a ride my 15 year old did with her last week. She hadn't been ridden in 2 or 3 months before this.

Serious buyers who are interested in purchasing soon... not in 6 months, please.
