This decision was not made lightly, as Chad would have gladly kept Patriot for himself. Patriot is an authentic Montana Ranch Horse—an exceptional trail companion in both Arizona and Montana. He has experience with cattle drives, overnight pack trips, roping outings with friends, and laid-back rides through town. He confidently faces new situations and adapts easily, rides beautifully in English tack with a snaffle bit, and carries his rider across the arena with ease.
Patriot has graciously welcomed many riders both in and out of the arena. Recently, he helped our ten-year-old niece learn the basics of riding. What stands out is his willingness to understand even the most novice rider’s cues and his steady temperament. Patriot has a fun disposition, always available for a hug, yet knows you have a bubble too. He is very loving, kind, and quiet.
Patriot lopes very nice circles and beautiful transitions. He always feels good under you and is assured to ride. Patriot has been all over the country in many types of terrain. He is very sure-footed and confident in rocks, mountains, and thick brush, crossing desert arroyos and going right through running river water. He is good around packs of dogs, blowing tarps, heavy traffic, machinery, and loud gunfire. This is the type of horse any ranch foreman would be proud to ride every day.
He is a very nice head horse and has also been heeled on. He will teach a newer roper or is a great addition for someone looking to up their roping game. Scores in the box, runs to cattle, and rates have a good move in the corner and across the pen.
Patriot is eager to help you accomplish any task on horseback. His build and demeanor are strong and reliable, making him well-suited for challenging trails. He is exceptionally good-minded, highly talented in many areas, and has excelled in Ranch Versatility events, especially with cattle. Simply pick your cow, put your hand down, and enjoy the ride.
Patriot is a deluxe trail partner, all-around ranch horse, and best friend kind of gelding. Patriot keeps quiet as a church mouse; he is quiet to bathe, shoe, and groom. He gets along well with other horses, whether it's in a turnout, trailer, or tied next to one. He is no hassle. This outstanding gelding has been so easy and enjoyable to ride, and we are proud to offer him. We would love for you to come and ride Patriot; UTD on worming, dental, and farrier. He passed all veterinary standards, including a recent full set of radiographs, with flying colors. Patriot stands 15 hands, has incredible muscle, bone, and champion conformation. He is located in Wickenburg, Arizona, at the time of the sale.
