(read more) Standing 15.1 hands tall with a stout, stocky build and kind eyes, Simba is the kind of horse people naturally gravitate toward. He has a big personality, loves attention, and is a barn favorite wherever he goes.
Simba may only be 5, but he rides with the maturity and feel of a seasoned older horse. He has been trained correctly from the start and it shows in every ride. He is soft, supple, and responsive in the bridle, gives willingly to pressure, and moves effortlessly off your hands, seat, and legs. He neck reins one handed with ease, works well with or without spurs, has a nice stop, backs softly, and stays relaxed and willing.
One of Simba’s standout qualities is how comfortable and enjoyable he is to ride. He has a smooth, collected trot with a pretty headset, and he will also step into a long, easy trot on a loose rein with his head down and relaxed. He picks up both leads easily at the lope and has even been started over English ground poles.
