Owner is Also open to a trade for a horse already broke to ride under age 16. Thes sweet Quarter horses are very pretty, sound and smart but Montana(chestnut) has not had good humans in her life. First she was used as a broodmare, but no one gave her a lot of training or attention at all. She ended up going through an auction and ended up bought by a feedlot for no fault of her own and she was rescued by anything animal foundation, which is a fundraising 501c3 that tries to rescue horses in danger.... Montana and her bonded mate brandy, who is easy to handle and even takes a saddle,,were offered a home by a college age lady who wanted to take a chance on them . She made good initiial progress but did not try to work with Montana excessively at all, She has found Montana to not be responding to the limited efforts she has put in and does not have the background or knowledge to take Montana further. She worked more with Brandy, and Brandy is happy to take a rider, but seems uncomfortable for some reason when Riding (the owner is not sure why ). We are sharing out Montana and Brandyfor an excellent Home,and who knows how to work with a horse that has confidence issues, and trust issues. Montana is very smart and sound, but doesn't know really how to trust a human. She is not completely wild, she will load and follow her buddy anywhere -she just needs someone knowledgeable or who has natural horsemanship abilities to spend time to partner with her. Brandy is sweet and in your pocket, not difficult to deal with, but seems uncomfortable under saddle, so may need somebody who can either figure that out or just wants companions.
