Amigo is the kind of gelding everyone is searching for but rarely finds—seasoned, kind, and an absolute pleasure to ride. With his easy way of going and dependable nature, he is comfortable both in the arena and out on the trail, making him a true all-around partner. I seriously can’t believe I still have this guy! Bad back? He’s smoother than most gaited horses!

Cows? He will eat them up! Loves working cows!

In the arena, Amigo is as honest as they come and suitable for riders of all levels. He offers an exceptionally smooth jog trot, a naturally low headset, and effortless control. His canter is balanced and beautiful on both leads, making every ride feel easy and enjoyable. He could easily shine in the dressage arena or ranch pleasure. He has given quite a few beginner lessons recently and is a such a good boy for that.

Outside the arena, Amigo truly shines as a been-there, done-that gelding. He is confident, seasoned, and happy to go all day on the trail. He has experience in rodeo settings, has had a rope swung off him, and enjoys chasing cows. He has also done the gymkhana patterns, hauls quietly, and handles new environments with ease. He’s truly a Jack of all trades.

Amigo has been ridden regularly by a 77-year-old man, a woman in her 60s, and lots of kids and adult beginner’s proving just how safe, sensible, and trustworthy he is. Large group trail rides, dogs, quads, bikes, ATVs, and general ranch chaos do not phase him—he takes everything in stride.

With his solid mind, excellent manners, and personable attitude, Amigo is easy to love both in and out of the saddle. He is an outstanding choice for someone seeking a safe, capable, and polished gelding that remains responsive, fun, and confidence-building. Would be an awesome husbands horse that also is great for kids to ride as well. He’s an easy keeper who stays fat on just hay and has nice, solid feet. Up to date on farrier and dental. He’s ready to go for you!
