Careto is a 7-year-old, 11-hand gelding with a solid foundation and a great handle. He reins beautifully, rides with consistency, and brings the kind of reliability that’s hard to find. He’s the kind of pony who thrives with a confident, handy kid wanting to step up and do “big horse” things on a smaller mount. He would also be well-suited for in-hand leadline with a younger or less experienced rider.
Out on the trail, Careto is as honest as they come. Traffic, checking the mail, water crossings, and obstacles don’t faze him—he takes it all in stride and keeps his rider feeling secure.
That said, Careto does have a couple of quirks, so he’s not a fit for every home. He’s best suited for someone who appreciates a pony with personality and a solid foundation, rather than a complete beginner’s babysitter.
