Gunnar is athletic and forward-thinking with lots of scope. He’s schooling First Level dressage right now and has been started over fences up to 75cm. Stands great on cross-ties, lunges well, and has a very affectionate, sometimes-goofy personality. He’d be a great fit for an intermediate rider in a program, or even possibly a confident advanced beginner who can ride him consistently. He has not offered to rear, bolt, buck, or spook badly under saddle and has solid brakes, but he definitely prefers to have a job, as he'll get a little fast if left out of work for too long (nothing a short lunging session prior to getting on won't fix).... (read more) He'd be the perfect horse for anyone looking for an athletic, in-your-pocket type partner.

History-wise, Gunnar began his racing career as a three-year-old, had ten starts between 2021 and 2023, was gelded, and retired completely sound and healthy with full x-rays and neurological examinations done. He was fully restarted and has now been in a professional program for roughly four months.
