15 hand 8 year old blue roan pinto mare (grade). Violet is a lovely mare with tons of trail experience (english and western) including large group, off property rides. She will lead or follow, cross water and ditches quietly and really enjoys being in the woods.
She has hunted with Salt Marsh Hounds in third field and was absolutely perfect! Most recently she hunted closing meet with a field of 52 riders and we moved her up to second field where she was stellar!... (read more) She is a fun little mare who aims to please and truly enjoys being in the hunt field!
She went to her first horse show 3/8 and she was a super star! Quiet and sensible and once again just a pleasure to ride and deal with!
In the ring she is green currently walk, trot, cantering quietly not to mention a lovely mover! She has just started over some little jumps and is doing great! Very willing, quiet on the landing side and jumps cute!
She stands quietly at the mounting block, has a soft mouth and a very comfy canter.
Violet does all the things.. loads/unloads and hauls like a dream, will stand tied to the trailer quietly and contently, fly sprays, bathes, good for vet and farrier, crossties etc. She is bare foot with black feet and a super easy keeper. She currently lives out 24/7. She is big barrelled and takes up the rider's leg well.
This girl could truly go any direction! Fox hunt, hunter pace, local hunters, pony club, trail ride or just a good all rounder. She is a pleasure to have and will make someone a fun partner! Best suited for an intermediate rider since she is still green.
