If you’re looking for a finished gelding who’s broke, seasoned, confident, and stunning to look at—CM Flyin Rey, “Reno,” is the real deal.... (read more) This 2020 AQHA red roan gelding stands 15.1 hands with presence, maturity, and eye appeal to spare. He’s the total package: ranch-proven, arena-polished, and quiet enough to enjoy anywhere.
Reno was raised and used on a large-scale cattle operation and has done every ranch job imaginable—gathering rough country, dragging calves, sorting tight, doctoring outside, and handling sale barn chaos. He’s cowy, gritty when needed, and confident in close quarters. He knows gates, holds pressure, and positions himself naturally on cattle. In the arena, he’s incredibly well broke with all the buttons—soft in the bridle, smooth transitions, correct turnarounds, solid stop, fluid sidepass, and rides one-handed or bareback in a halter. He lopes collected circles, picks up both leads with ease, and stays between the reins without babysitting. He recently just came home from 4 months of ranch versatility training and even dipped his toes in a local show.
Just as impressive as his ability is his mind. Reno is kind, level-headed, easy to catch, great to shoe, haul, and stand tied. He’s comfortable around dogs, livestock, and commotion, and handles work or downtime with the same steady attitude. He’s been brought along correctly with a strong foundation and thoughtful finishing—young, seasoned, broke, and beautiful, not to mention he LOVES people and is already ready to spend the day with you.
Reno is backed by generations of proven performance bloodlines. Sired by Boo Rey Dr, a son of High Roller Rey ($51,000+), and out of Flyin Nancy, whose pedigree traces to Prices Husker Leo and Rondo Leo, he carries elite blood with horses that are successful in the NRCHA, NCHA, AQHA, and barrel racing disciplines, he's bred for cow, athleticism, and versatility.
Reno is also current on absolutely everything. He’s up to date on dental work, routine chiropractic care, vaccinations, deworming, and farrier maintenance. He’s been managed with care and consistency, and it shows in his health, soundness, and demeanor.Call or text John: 208 310 5686 or Molly 208 566 3050
