"Chicken & Waffles" - working pair, Haflinger geldings (14 & 17 y/o). Offered as a pair.
Healthy, sound, OTD shots/worm, barefoot (6 week trim schedule), in work - lesson program, private events, and trail rides. Solid earning pair, excellent first and second horse for new riders.
PPE - yes. Demo ride available on site in ring, round pen and trails.
Both more woah then GO, no bolt, bucking, spook, kicking, rearing or biting to them.... (read more) Extremely safe for all levels and ages!
Used for - kids, babies, adults, therapeutic, grandparents, husband you name it!
Same horse when worked daily or after an extended break.
Both great in stall or outside. Easy keepers, in spring and summer I do put grazing muzzles on them. Can go out with anyone - geldings, mares, even our cows. Neither of them are the alphas.
Both can show if that’s your style- I’ve never done that but they are a perfect pair. Same horses on and off property.
Skills - Waffles. He is a kick ride, W/T/C, backs up, goes over poles/jumps, trail rides, swims, water crossings, squares up, stands for mounting block, poses for pictures, pony rides, lessons all ages and levels, events, parties, (could do hunter pace bring spurs and a crop lol) , very willing and confident. He gets along with everyone. Waffles will ride out alone or as a group. He has been desensitized to it all - cows, dogs, turkeys, deer, foxes, goats, banging stuff (we live next to a quarry), tractors, balloons, hula hoops, pool noodles you name it! We are very hands on with all our horses.
Skills - Chicken. He is a light kick ride. W/T/C, backs up, goes over poles/jumps, trail rides, swims, water crossings, squares up, poses for pictures, pony rides, lessons all ages and levels, events, parties, very willing and confident. Chicken will ride out alone or as a group. He is still practicing to stand nicely for the mounting block, little fussy about gates. Nothing bad but just need to get after him a bit and tell him it’s work time. He has been desensitized to it all such as- cows, dogs, goats, banging stuff (we live next to a quarry), tractors, balloons, hula hoops, pool noodles you name it! We are very hands on with all our horses.
Trailer - self load, quiet in tow.
$$$ about Waffles and Chicken: they function very well as a team! In a lesson program they are ideal 1st & 2nd horses for new riders. Waffles is a better first timer horse to get to know the ropes then step up to Chicken. Always happy, good listeners, gentle, eager to please.
Only selling to a good home. Please have references ready.
