Rocky is a 10-11 year old sorrel quarter horse gelding. He’s 15.3-16 hands and solid! Rides without a bridle! He’s a been there done that guy! He’s ridden on trails all over the US and has hundreds of miles under his “girth”. He has all the buttons! You can open gates on him, rope a cow, drag a calf, push cows, spin a circle in the ground! He stands perfectly to get his hooves done, does just fine getting shoes put on.... (read more) He loads in the trailer with 0 issues! Walks through deep water. He’s ponied my daughter’s ponies. NO SPOOK! I trust this horse so much that I used him to check cows while I was heavily pregnant and he was the one I road when we went trail riding with my newborn. He has a great mind! I’d say he’s for an intermediate rider, as he has a lot of buttons and is ready to go. When he’s ridden consistently a beginner who knows what they are doing could ride him on the trails. The only reason for selling him is I could honestly use the money and I just have too many horses and only 1 butt. That being said he has just been out to pasture for the past several months. The video is him being ridden for the first time since being turned out. I will be riding him more to get him ready for his new home. His only flaw is that he has navicular in one of his front hooves, THAT BEING SAID, I have a list of herbs that when given to him consistently he is sound. I can send you a video of the difference with and without the herbs. I have X-rays I can send upon request. This horse is seriously a gem and a good home is a must.
