Rootbeer is a very personable and friendly filly with an extremely hard to find pedigree. She knows all her basic groundwork skills and should be a relatively easy start. Rootbeer has NOT been saddled or ridden and can be started your way.... (read more) Rootbeer stands 13.2 hands right now as a coming two-year-old and is very solidly built. I’ve ridden two paternal siblings that matured at or over 15.2 and I’m expecting her to finish around 14.3 hands. Rootbeer is a half sister to my good JoJo mare that I ranch rode and is now a broodmare. I also ranched on a paternal brother that I called Dill, and he turned into a dandy rope and big country horse in short order. I’m trying to build my barn, otherwise Rootbeer would be staying right here!

Rootbeer was bred by Walker Ranch near Musselshell, Montana. She is by the late Awesome Tomcat and out of LTS Blazing Vanzi, a daughter of Roanys Tomcat, with 4 more crosses to Oswald on the bottomside. Rootbeer is 37.5% Roanys Tomcat, 25% Mr Pete Oswald, and 21.875% Oswald. It is extremely tough to find this much Oswald in one! Rootbeer is color tested Ee AA and carries at least one copy of roan, but has the potential to be homozygous roan. Rootbeer is tested negative (N/N) for GBED, HERDA, HYPP, IMM, MH, and PSSM1 through Animal Genetics.

Rootbeer sells hot branded on her left shoulder with Walker Ranch’s iron. She is decent to catch, trim, and trailer. She’s up to date on worming, vaccines, and trimming. Vet checks welcome at buyer’s expense. Buyer responsible for shipping, and Coggins and Health paperwork if outside of the state of Montana.
