His sire is a Registered Friesian Star Sport AA Stallion, who competed Third Level Dressage last year placing in every show he entered. Onyx is out of a line of Friesian’s that began with the imported 1st premium full papered/overflowing full pedigree royal Dutch Friesian princess out of a Model-Double Preferent Prestantie Dam! This line has done everything from Dressage, Driving, Eventing, Pleasure Riding, Train Riding, etc. They love to do it all and they do it well!

This boy has Oege 267 in his line. If you know of Oege then you know he is the “Hair Man” and he has passed this gene on to Onyx and his sire. Onyx has done great with his in-hand training and leads quite well. He is not under saddle yet as he is not old enough, at 20 months old. He is super sweet and loves his people. He has been around kids, dogs, chickens, goats, cats and has no issues with any of them. His temperament is a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10. He has been handled daily and enjoys being loved on and groomed. He does pretty good with the farrier and is learning to pick his feet up quite well.
