This is the only red dun roan stallion in the United States. Roans are an extremely rare color in Icelandic horses. This one has a top pedigree, with several honor prize stallions and mares in his pedigree. Sire is Hilmir fra Hamarsey, a four-gaited stallion with an evaluation score of 8.74, his dam is a very good daughter by honor prize stallion Alfasteinn fra Selfossi (five-gaited 8,54). Hakon is very friendly, curious and likes people, but is respectful and well behaved.
Hakon has beautiful 4 gaits, possibly five, and is ready to start under saddle.
