He is a beautiful combination of Standardbred, Rocky Mountain Walker, and Western European Warmblood, as confirmed by genetic testing from Texas A&M.

He has not left his current boarding facility and has had no contact with horses outside of the 11 horses on the property, all of which are healthy and current on vaccinations. This gelding is known for his sweet and honest nature, standing well for grooming, tack, and fly spray. He is suitable for children, exhibits more whoa than go, and backs up well. He will walk up and stand at the mounting block, I always use for mounting and dismounting. He will stop when asked and remains calm on the trail, showing no tendency to spook easily. He is barefoot and sound, responds to his name, and will follow his handler willingly. He plow reins but is learning to neck rein, he has a soft mouth. His tack is included in the sale. While he does walk off when initially mounted, he stops when asked and just needs consistency to master this. He is not comfortable being cross-tied and will dance side to side, though he is not mean-spirited. He can be pushy on the ground, but this behavior is not aggressive, such as kicking or biting. It’s more of a spoiled boy behavior His previous owner did not correct this behavior when he was young, and it requires attention from his new owner. He just needs more time with ground work as it was something he never had before, but to ride he’s easy going. Despite these challenges, he will respect personal space when asked and is never mean He is not fond of the farrier. These behaviors can be corrected with time and attention. As an inexperienced horse owner with a busy schedule, I have found it challenging to provide consistent training and attention. Despite this, he has been an excellent first horse, helping me gain confidence in riding and horse care. He is a reliable and honest horse, always maintaining his temperament regardless of the time since our last ride. I have not ridden him at gaits beyond the walk, so his abilities in other gaits are unknown. However, he is willing and would excel with anyone who has the time for him
He is only for sale because of my own personal financial situation, has absolutely nothing to do with him. He was supposed to be my forever boy.
It’s not often you have an opportunity to buy a horse when you know his ENTIRE LIFE HISTORY!! I still have contact with his original owner and can pass that information along after his sale. This boy is the right age and size that just about anyone can ride him and he has lots of years left in him. A couple summers ago his original owner sent him to a kids camp over the summer so the kids could learn to ride and care for horses. He hadn’t been rode as much as I’d like to have rode him just because lack of time and confidence in myself but he’s just the sweetest boy with the kindest eyes I’ve ever seen on a horse.
I paid 5k for him 5 months ago. His price is lower for a quick sale but it WILL go back up come spring. So if you’re interested in him now’s your time to get a really sweet gelding. Bond with him for the rest of winter then get to work come spring. He needs to find his forever home. I’ve only had him for 5 months and he’s already settled into our barn and routine. He whinny’s and comes running when I call him! He’s not high in the pecking order either he’s currently with mares and geldings and fits right into the middle of the mix.
