Everyone loves a big grey Thoroughbred gelding, and Atlas checks all the boxes! This handsome guy is only looking for his next person due to absolutely no fault of his home — he’s loved, spoiled, and ready to shine.

Atlas is a young, spirited fella who could truly go any direction.... (read more) He’s been off the track since January and has about a month of professional training under his belt. His restart was smooth, and he’s been a blast to bring along ever since. Atlas has that typical “baby brain” with a few quirks, but he’s got a great handle that sets him up to succeed in any discipline.

Primarily used as a steady city trail mount, Atlas is about as fearless and easygoing as they come. He’s confident out alone or with others, crosses anything you point him at, and takes new sights in stride. He’s got a nice walk, trot, lope, stop, and backup, and responds well to leg cues. He prefers either being kicked out and neck reined or ridden up in the bridle. He can get a little head-tossy now and then, but it’s mostly his playful side — correct him once, and he’s right back with you.

There’s not much Atlas can’t do. He’s the “get on and go have fun” type who loves to be part of the action. Let him sit for a week — he comes back the same horse, no drama. He’s even carried the owners’ 13-year-old son under supervision and took care of him like a champ.

Atlas stands tied, is easy to catch, first to greet you at the gate, and is great for the farrier. He grooms, bathes, loads, and picks up all four feet without a fuss. He’s seen cattle, tackled obstacles, and crossed water like a pro. With his good brain, athletic build, and easygoing nature, Atlas could make someone’s dream partner for trails, pleasure, or even a new show career.

Don’t miss out on this big, goofy, talented gelding — he’s got all the try in the world and a ton of potential to match. Atlas will come with his tack and remaining feed!
