This is "MOON DUST", an exceptional, thick made, family friendly, naturally gaited, SUPER SMOOTH DAPPLE GRAY KENTUCKY MOUNTAIN GELDING that is built like the old school kind. He is my ALL TIME FAVORITE GAITED HORSE that I have ridden. He is muscular, stout, and has an attractive head. He has a nice one hand neck rein, easy stop, and he turns very easily. This gelding has been hauled to shows, hauled to the organized trail rides, state parks, and been in the pastures to check cattle.... (read more) This gelding is one that you can ride once every six months or every day and he is going to ride off the exact same way. He has no buck, no hump, he is not spooky, he is not barn sour, and he unloads in unfamiliar territory and rides off as if he has been there many times before. This gelding has the best and smoothest 4 beat gait, he has a super comfy collected canter, he stops on whoa, he has a nice one hand handle, and he moves off of leg cues. He stands 14.3 hands tall and is 8 years old. He will go through any depth of water, through very rocky terrain, and he can handle steep mountain riding. He is sure footed, rides cool and calm on a loose rein, and he will not go any faster than asked of him. He is traffic safe, fine with dogs, tractors, skid steers, etc. He will ride out alone with confidence and is also fine in a group. He has excellent ground manners, stands tied, loads, bathes, and hauls. Don't miss out if you want a superb gaited gelding. He is my all time favorite gaited horse.
