"Memphis" aka Thurman Merman is about 11 or 12 years old. He's a super sweet bay gelding who I bought for my then 13 year old daughter approximately three years ago so that she could continue riding in her discipline. Something of a project horse, Memphis is an OTTB, and after his racing career, was owned by a young lady who began teaching him hunter/jumper. Memphis has had NO major health issues since I purchased him and none previously to my knowledge.... (read more) He is up to date on all vaccinations and is healthy and ready for a new home.

While he is very sweet, I do not consider Memphis a beginner horse, though he was perfectly suitable for my daughter (a solid teenage rider). I have taken him on trail rides and to a few horse shows. He's lovely, not spooky, and VERY tall! (I said 17 hands but I think he's actually a bit taller).

We are choosing to find him a new home ONLY because my daughter is graduating from high school and leaving for college. She would like for Memphis to find a new home with a teen or young adult who can spend more time with him than she is able to do currently.
