Stella is a 12 year old Clydesdale/Quarter Horse cross mare standing 15.2 with a solid build, unique buckskin coloring, and a lovely temperament. She is very solidly broke English and Western and is willing to move out nicely or travel in a slower, more pleasure-like fashion- and she has a great stop, should you choose to use it! Stella is easy, quiet, and comfortable to ride, and she has shown zero inclination to be naughty or spooky in any way. She’s the type you can ride occasionally and still feel safe; she could suit a casual rider who doesn’t want a horse that requires a regular schedule.... (read more) She could also be a nice addition to a lesson program, considering her tolerant disposition. Stella does not appear to have any prior jumping experience but is more than willing to find her way over small obstacles. She’s well mannered, is great for the vet and farrier (currently wearing front shoes), travels well, and has no bad habits in the barn or otherwise. She’s currently living out 24/7 but also does well coming into a stall. Stella’s only “quirk” (if you can even call it that) is that she prefers to hack out with company, but she will go alone if you don’t mind kicking her along a bit…she just makes it clear by moving at a snail’s pace that she would prefer to stay home. :)
