14 Year Old Paso Fino Mare

Additional Comments

“Gracie” is 14-15 years old, 14 hands tall, and is a very forward mover. She’s a sweet girl although she does have trust issues so catching her without using feed can take a minute. She has never offered to kick or bite.
Gracie is very well trained under saddle but needs work on a few things on the ground. Very easy keeper.

Under saddle:
She knows voice commands “whoa”, “walk”, and “back”.... (read more) She has the BEST gait! Doesn’t get any smoother! She’s a fast walker but does willingly walk.
Very fun to ride!!!

On the ground:
She’s kinda hard to catch (without feed) but has gotten much better, typically leads great but can be pushy at times, loads perfectly, ties, picks up all four feet, good for the farrier. Trailers very quietly. She does not like to be still for you to mount… No attitude! She just won’t be still. I’m sure that can be fixed as I’ve fixed it with many before her but I don’t have time now.

Her teeth need floating. I can have that done before she leaves IF asking price is met or at least close. She is low man in the field…she will defend herself a little bit but not much. She doesn’t seem to care much if other horses are around or not. She would be just fine as a loner.
Here’s the thing that’s gonna get most people…. She is blind in one eye. It doesn’t bother her.

I have a small breeding operation. I breed quality Quarter Horses. I also buy and sell. I am beginning to focus on buying greenbroke colts to train and sell. I also give riding lessons, and take in outside horses for training and problem solving. And I raise Nigerian Dwarf goats and I am starting to raise milk goats.
