Additional Comments

Have you ever dreamed of owning a majestic, sporty gelding that can help you achieve your western or English riding dreams? Well, look no further! Meet Sterling, a rare Garrano horse cross, the horse that’s destined to make those dreams come true!

Sterling is a true beauty, with a unique charm that’s beyond his years. He’s estimated to mature just at a small 13.3 hands tall (so a small adult or experienced child would be his best bet), a young and playful colt with a gentle and smart nature.... (read more) This horse has been a joy to train, and he’s ready to embark on his riding journey and find his forever home.

Sterling is just about an 2 1/2 years old, so he is ready to start learning how to ride or drive.

Sterling is an easy catch, leading, loading, standing for the farrier, standing tied, and he absolutely loves baths! He’s a ponying pro, gracefully riding alongside another horse, and he’s not afraid of dogs, cars, bikes, or even roadside trash. Sterling is bold and embraces new experiences with enthusiasm.

Sterling is a more sporty, athletic, and energetic type, and we’re hoping to see him excel in eventing, endurance, or barrel racing!

Sterling was gelded on July 30th 2025 and has healed up well without any issues. He’s a great pasture companion, whether he’s on his own or with other stallions, geldings, or mares. He’s respectful and gets along with everyone in the pasture. He’s an easy keeper, maintaining a healthy weight on just good grass.

He’s up-to-date on all shots, wormer, and has a negative Coggins. He’s looking for his loving forever home!

Located in Alto, Texas.
