Additional Comments

Meet Iris, a drop-dead, gorgeous dapple gray titled mustang mare. Iris is genetically a Criollo, Missouri Foxtrotter cross.
I can’t say enough about this beautiful girl; she has been so fun to train and has taken to anything I’ve thrown at her with joy and enthusiasm! Iris is started under saddle, but is still green. Iris has a true natural talent for Hunter Jumper/show jumping. This has been the main focus during our training.... (read more) Iris has only been broken in English so far, but could easily be switched over to Western disciplines, and I could see her excelling in Western pleasure.

In personality, Iris is a spunky, sweet-natured, hardworking horse who lives to please everyone she meets. Iris can be a bit timid around new people, but after a couple of treats and pets, she is in your pocket. Iris stands tied, leads, loads, stands for the feirrier, enjoys baths, and loves alfalfa treats.

In upkeep, Iris does best on alfalfa, grass, and grain all year round, if she has an active career like she currently has. Iris stands barefoot and is completely sound (she has never worn steel). Iris is chill when groomed, trimmed, and when her mane is pulled. Iris is easy to catch in the field; her current status is full turnout with multiple mares and geldings. She gets along well with all her buddies and is not dominating in the slightest.

I have trained Iris from untouched to what she is now. If you have any questions, please call or text anytime. (our phone number) Irises' price may be negotiable if we know that she is going to a loving home. Located in Alto, Texas. Looking for her FOREVER home.
