Paradise was rescued at 5 days old as a nurse mare foal in 2014, and I’ve had her ever since. She is likely a quarter horse cross - she has a friendly, happy disposition and is not the typical chestnut mare. She has the disposition of a gelding, and she adores love and attention. She is used to being around kids but she’s only been ridden by adults under saddle (kids have ridden her bareback with supervision) - she would be suitable for beginners (with supervision) to intermediate riders.... (read more) She has had basic all around training on the ground and under saddle and is well seasoned in the arena. She has some experience on trails. She did founder last year while out on spring pasture, but she recovered well and she is turned back out in a much less lush pasture now (the vet gave us the green light) and she has been fine ever since - she just needs regular work to keep her weight in check. She is not on any special feeds, and she has returned to normal life. She would be best suited as an adult pleasure horse. A vet check is welcome/encouraged at your expense. References before purchase will be required as I want to make sure she has the best home. She has been cherished and loved her whole life. No off site trials, but you’re welcome to come ride her at our farm in South Lyon.
