Checkers is a solid arena horse with a true neck and a good turn around. He will smoothly transition into all 3 gates, lopes nice even circles and just has a soft, responsive feel. He side passes with ease to open and shut gates, ponies colts, and handles all types of obstacles with confidence.
This gelding is a rockstar on the trail. He is sure footed, confident, and not spooky. He’s been through the rugged terrain, rides out alone or with a group, whichever you prefer. Farm equipment, dogs, goats you name it, he’s been around it.
Checkers stands quietly for grooming, tacking, and farrier work. He’s easy to be around and fits well in a herd, sitting in the middle to lower end of the pecking order. Whether kept on pasture or in a stall, he’s content and well behaved.
Checkers is a grandson of NU CHEX TO CASH, who was part of the National Reined Cow Horse Association with $57,500 in lifetime earnings (LTE) and over $3 million in offspring earnings.
