I’m sadly looking to trade my sweet mare. She’s kind of a project in the saddle. She’s a 9 year old quarter horse and I think 15 hands. Pros - sweet, kind, good ground manners, picks up her feet and good for farrier, good with animals and people, stands to be saddled and tacked and good on a lead line. She loves love and is playful. Cons- buddy and barn sour, goes where she wants to, bolts at slight pressure, scared of wooded areas, pulls her head and throws it in the saddle, all around a stubborn girl.... (read more) She rides fine in a the roundpen but take her out and she’s stubborn and throws her head. She will bolt and take off. She scares easy but she doesn’t buck or bite at all. She needs some more desensitization and rides. She’s not a beginner horse. She’s smart and with training or more experience and expertise than I have she could be a great horse. Stays fat on air, good feet and is a good horse. I am looking for a well broke beginner mare, good with the farrier, desensitized for trail riding, point and go type. Age doesn’t matter but I am not looking for a horse that needs maintenance.
