“Charlie” is a Percheron/Standardbred gelding standing 16.1 hands high. He’s aged 18-20yrs old (Per the vets words “he’s old enough to vote, not old enough to drink”)
This guy is every parent’s dream for their kids. He is SAFE, he is SLOW, he has been around children his entire life. This guy doesn’t have a bad bone in his body. He is used as a trail horse and light driving.... (read more) He is a been there done that kind of guy who has seen it all. He is traffic safe and doesn’t mind semi’s, dump trucks, or motorcycles. He’s safe around bikes, scooters, joggers, strollers etc. Charlie is easy to catch, stands tied, stands for the farrier, stands to be groomed and pampered and loves people. He is barefoot and doesn’t require shoes but will stand good as gold to be shod if you want shoes on him. Charlie is the perfect laid back horse for anyone wanting to take their time and have a nice relaxing ride or drive. He isn’t in a hurry to get anywhere, He’s like a Sunday driver 7 days a week. Charlie hasn’t presented any stiffness or arthritic changes but with his age, it’s something to expect.
