Introducing CH Ulquiorra's Heart, AKA Espada. He's a 13 YO 15hh grey Quarter Horse Gelding. He's looking for a confident intermediate to advanced rider.
Espada has done it all: rides on roads, trails, jumps over logs, goes western and English. He has good ground manners and is very in your pocket.... (read more) He just likes to sniff people all over and lick their clothes! He WTC. He is up to date on farrier and shots. Nearly bombproof, has never bolted or bucked. My 5 year old cousin rode him on lead line with no issues. Also currently does fine in a lesson program with experienced riders but does not thrive in that environment! I will not sell him to be a lesson horse. He prefers the trails to the ring and I love running down trails with him! Uses a plain snaffle, also goes bitless on trails. He is barefoot.
The reason he needs an advanced rider is because he will take advantage of someone not so confident, including myself back when I first got him. If you give him an inch, he will take a mile. He will walk you right out of the ring if he doesn't feel like working that day. He'll never buck you off. His idea of a tantrum is standing still and not moving despite my cues. He's not dangerous at all, just stubborn and knows how to exploit people's weaknesses. If you give up and let him win, he learns this. You have to be consistent.
Safe ride, just a bit lazy and stubborn. But he is a great all around horse who gives 100% to a rider who knows how to get the most out of him. He is a bit out of work as he was barely ridden all winter. My trainer is riding him regularly to tune him back up. Selling him because I am going back to college and can't afford both.
Espada is located in Westfield, MA. Seriously interested parties will be allowed to test ride him. PPE welcome at buyer's expense. No papers. They are lost. I am trying to work on getting them.
