BRED BROODMARE
2019 AQHA, APHA registered red dun splash broodmare safely in foal to our grulla sabino stallion for a May 2025 foal!
Homozygous DUN (ee, Aa, DD, nSw1), 7-panel n/n, 15.2 HH
NEVER BROKE TO RIDE
"Vera" is a very easy mare to have in our breeding program. She is sweet, good to catch, fairly good for the farrier, a very easy keeper, and has been a great mother to her 2 fillies that she has had for us.... (read more) She had a magnificent homozygous splash dun filly in 2023 which we retained, and a homozygous dun filly this year in 2024. Vera was pasture bred back to our young AQHA, APHA smoky grulla sabino stallion, PICASSOS DUDE this past summer and is due to foal in May 2025. This foal will be double registered with both AQHA and APHA, homozygous dun and 7-panel n/n by parentage. It will either be a bay dun, dunskin, grulla, or smoky grulla and should have some fancy white markings based on the parent's white genes, but not guaranteed. This foal will be big built with good, thick legs and body! I am excited to see this cross!!
Vera will be offered unless we move another mare, then she will stay. Just thinning our numbers due to keeping our own bred, young stock to move up! Shipping can be arranged if needed at the buyer's expense as well as a pregnancy confirmation by palpitation or blood work since she is too far along for ultrasound. The coggins test and health certificate will be included in the sale.
** stallion that she is bred to is in the photos (grulla)
