"She’s foxy", our old horseman friend said when he first saw her. And she is - her color, her movement and her personality are all eye-catching. She is obviously foundation-bred QH, but we don’t have any pedigree information available.

Smoky has a curious and energetic personality. Yet she has a calmness to her and settles quickly after any spooks, such as quail flushing underfoot. She is well built for a smooth ride, with long reach underneath, and a slow lope.... (read more)

We spent a lot of time on the ground with her, and she was started slowly, with 35 rides through Feb 2025. She’s been ridden outside through woods, creek, and pasture, with halter, side-pull and snaffle. We also ride her bareback.

Smoky has potential to become a superb all-around ranch horse, and is familiar with a rope. We also think she has enough speed to perform, and personality for a family trail horse. And we can’t help but think about breeding her.

She’ll be up to date on vaccination, worming and trimming, and we can arrange a Coggins as needed. We’re enjoying riding her, but she is also ready to relocate and continue her journey with you in a direction of your choosing.

Wolf Farm

We have a small farm in near Sawyer, KS. In addition to some riding, we also raise a few foals and start a few colts. We currently have a Poco-Bueno-bred AQHA stud. We are seeking good minded ranch and family horses.
