Ranger is the perfect horse for any child or small adult, regardless of age or experience level. He is safe and gentle for anyone, and 100% trustworthy both in the arena and out on the ranch. I just cannot say enough good things about this amazing little horse. Ranger is 12 years old and 13.3hh, small enough that he won’t scare a kid but big enough to be ridden by an adult. He is very well put together, a beautifully built horse in a smaller package.... (read more) He has no pony attitude or bad habits, and has perfect ground manners so the kids can catch him, pick his feet, saddle, and get on all by themselves without the fear that he will hurt them. We purchased Ranger earlier this year from his second owner for my boys, and they are now ready to move up due to all the confidence they gained riding him. Ranger is the type of horse you can do anything on, and know he will be game for it. He has been ridden English, Western, and bareback, bitless, in a halter, and in a bridle. He has worked cattle on the ranch and has had a rope swung on him and drug logs, has jumped, has done some small schooling shows and playdays, and has been ridden in the mountains of Colorado and ranches in Texas. Ranger is very willing and has a good sense of humor, and is very forgiving of his rider as you can see in the video. He will adjust himself to the level of his rider, and takes it very easy when he knows he has a little one on his back. Ranger is not lazy, he will trot and lope when asked, but he will never go any faster than he is asked and makes very sure the rider is wanting him to go faster before he will. He does not have that napoleon complex that so many little horses and ponies do, and gets along with all other horses. Ranger does not get fresh and does not need to be warmed up before he is ridden, and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick, take off, or rub anyone off on a fence or under a tree. He is kind and friendly, will walk right up to you in a large pasture and stick his head in the halter. Ranger is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He has a very smooth trot and lope that are easy for kids to ride, and will neck rein or direct rein. He is good on both leads, will sidepass, and work off your leg. He will ride out alone or with a group, and will happily lead or follow. Ranger stands quietly tied, is excellent for the shoer, and loads and hauls well. He can go barefoot or with shoes and has good hard black feet. He is UTD on everything and sound with zero health or lameness issues. CHECK OUT HIS VIDEO AT: Watch Youtube Video Asking $10000. Call Wendy for more information at our phone number.
