Julie is a 14 year old paint mare, she is registered through APHA. I purchased her as a beginner safe barrel horse, had her shipped to me without going to see her and was scammed. She arrived skin and bones, ulcers, lame, and terrified. I put 100 pounds on her, got full x-rays, she has a fusing hock on her back right, hocks injected, and took her to a mustang trainer for mental rehabilitation. She was well trained at some point but was abused terribly.... (read more) I've got her to trust and ride again but she is soar on her back right when we canter. She would be a great breeder or pasture pal. She is a horse that needs to be pampered. She gets sun burnt, ulcers if she gets upset, she needs a winter blanket on at almost all times in the winter. I stall her on cold nights. Pros-Shes gorgeous, sweet, trailers great, bathes, loves to be groomed, great in a herd, as long as she's injected she's great for the ferrier, great for the vet. Cons -shes herd sour, lame at the canter, and reactive.
