Sterling is a stunning brown and white double-registered Spotted Saddle Horse/Tennessee Walking Horse. As a three-year-old, he won first place at the 42nd Annual National Spotted Horse Spring Show in Murfreesboro, TN.... (read more) This gelding stands 16 hands and has a wonderful disposition. He is an ‘in your pocket’ type of horse but also respects your space and is easy to catch anywhere. Stands like a perfect gentleman for the farrier, mounting, grooming, and bathing. He loads and hauls wonderfully and gets along well with other horses in the pasture. Crosses water willingly and can navigate the steepest embankment, he is sure footed, strong and athletic. Sterling has a very smooth, natural gait and will move all day long on a loose rein. He has been ridden extensively in the mountains of Colorado, in heavy traffic, and around farm equipment, dogs, and ATVs. He is confident on the trail with a willingness to go where you point him. Sterling does have driving experience but has only been ground-driven during the last year. If you are looking for a horse to trail ride, maybe take to local horse shows, or travel across the country to see the sights, he’s your guy. His potential is unlimited.
